Perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, which is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest.
Its position on the Eastern rim allows the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.
Reception
On arrival you will be welcomed with a hot towel and a glass of refreshing juice, much needed after the long journey.
From the reception area you will see the breathtaking view of the crater..
Lobby
The lobby is very spacious, has a high ceiling and a glass dome. Tea and Coffee are freely available to our guests in the coffee bar area.
The lower lobby has large glass doors, which open onto the verandah, with a view of the pool. Here you can enjoy cocktails, while watching the most spectacular view of the sunset anywhere on the Crater rim.
Accommodation
All of the 91 double bedrooms are very spacious and each two queen sized beds and a separate dressing area. Each room has a glass fronted verandah, where you may enjoy a private view of the Crater The lodge has 6 single rooms, all of which have a queen sized beds and glass fronted sliding doors.
Dinning
The restaurant is in the shape of a rondvale, has a high roof and large glass windows to view the crater. From the inside the ceiling resembles the inside of an umberella
The menus offer good choice and at dinner you will have the opportunity to try a traditional African dish
